Your Child's Visit

What to Expect at Your Child's Visit

  1. A Kid-Friendly Waiting Room.

Our waiting room has a play area with toys and video games, so the visit starts before your child even sits in the dentist chair.

  2. We Get to Know Your Child.

We gain your child's trust with a friendly, caring approach, explaining what's happening in positive, age-appropriate language.

  3. A Gentle, Unhurried Exam.

Every visit is unhurried. We're a practice built just for children, so nothing here is adapted from adult dentistry.

  4. You're Part of It.

You're welcome in the exam room with your child, and we encourage it.

Pediatric Care From Infants to Teens

Pediatric Dental Care for Every Stage of Childhood

  1. Infants and Toddlers

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first visit once the first tooth appears, usually by one year of age. Early visits are short and gentle, mostly about getting your child comfortable with us.

  2. School-Age Children

Checkups and cleanings every six months, fluoride and varnish treatments, and sealants on the six- and twelve-year molars to protect the grooves where decay usually starts.

  3. Teenagers

Continued preventive care, guidance on diet and hygiene, and treatment planned around school and sport commitments, so dental care fits your teenager's schedule.

Gentle Care

Gentle Care for Children Who Feel Nervous

We gain your child's trust with a friendly, caring approach. Our team is compassionate about the fears a child may bring into a dental office, and we use positive language to turn that around. Where a child needs more support than reassurance alone, we offer nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, IV sedation, and, for complex cases, general anesthesia at Texas Children's Hospital.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

When should my child first see a pediatric dentist?

Once the first tooth appears, usually by one year of age. Early visits are short and gentle, and they set up what dentists call a dental home, so your child is familiar with us long before any treatment is needed.

Where exactly is your pediatric dental office?

2833 Riley Fuzzel Road, Suite 500, Spring, Texas 77386. We're easy to reach from Rayford, Creekside Park, Oak Ridge North, and The Woodlands.

Yes. We accept Medicaid and Texas CHIP, along with most major private insurance plans. Please bring your insurance card to every visit so we can file for you.
